What's new for this years Toys Tour? A lot!

The 2021 Toys Tour is approaching fast and this years event will look much different than those of the past. The annual event returns December 3rd, 4th, and 5th at the Crystal Cove Marina and Resort, in Palatka, Florida. This years Toys Tour will be one to remember, unlike any event of the past. The Toys Tour is the largest marine Toys Collection Charity in the world. Founded by the late Russ Matos 20 years ago. The organizations mission is to never let a child be without a Toy for the holidays.

This year, the Toys Tour has organized, been approved, and formed into a non-profit 501(3)C. The event has expanded to three days adding another boating run to the city of Jacksonville and back. Early Sunday morning the organizers have added a children's party that will connect the charity directly to the many kids it benefits. Walt Braithwaite, the President of Toys Tour Inc., says "This year we wanted to do something really special for these kids, especially with all of the COVID interruptions they have been facing and additional stress they have been through. With the help of our partners, The Putnam County Sheriff's Office and the Putnam County Tourism Council, we are throwing a kids party on Sunday morning, December 5th, to put some smiles on these amazing kids faces". The kids party starts Sunday morning at 9 am and ends at 11:00 am at the Crystal Cove Marina. There will be a lot of surprises set up and we hear that Santa himself will be coming in by boat to meet some of these amazing kids!

Because of the record number of boaters that attended last year, we have expanded the event to the big top! A massive tent that will hold 400 people will be the main gathering place for all of the parties, food, and fun. Friday night will kick off a huge dance party with celebrity DJ " Louie, Louie" and a comedian hypnotist show that will sure put everyone in the right mood! The main event on Saturday will feature stops at the Palatka bridge (Photo by Freeze Frame), Welatka docks for the Toys drop off, Renegades for a catered lunch, and the majestic Silver Glenn cove party. Then it's back to Crystal Cove to prepare for the banquet. This years banquet will feature over the top food from one of the best catering companies in Jacksonville, Mai Oui! Last's years popular entertainment returns with rock band John Nickoloff and the Rear View Mirror! Other additions to this years event includes hand rolled cigars, hookahs, and a new VIP section for our top sponsors and partners.
